Overview

The Risk Register Dashboard provides a centralized view of all AI-related risks recorded across the organization.

It acts as the authoritative record for monitoring risks, reviewing their status, and understanding how risks impact AI systems and datasets.

The dashboard enables governance and compliance teams to track risk ownership, monitor mitigation progress, and maintain visibility into risk exposure across the AI lifecycle.

Purpose

The Risk Register Dashboard helps organizations maintain visibility into risks related to the development, deployment, and use of AI systems.

Centralizing risk information supports:

  • ongoing monitoring of unresolved or emerging AI risks
  • traceability between risks, AI systems, and datasets
  • coordination between risk owners and governance stakeholders
  • alignment with internal governance frameworks and regulatory expectations

This ensures risks are consistently documented and actively managed across the organization.

Key Features

risk table

The Risk Register table displays each recorded risk and its key attributes, including:

  • Risk Type
  • Likelihood
  • Impact
  • Status
  • Assigned Owner

This table provides a structured overview of risk exposure across AI systems and datasets.

add risk

The Add Risk button allows users to manually create a new risk entry.

This function is used when risks are identified outside of formal assessments but still require tracking and governance oversight.

Additional guidance on completing the Add Risk form is available in the Add Risk article.

view actions

Each risk entry includes a View Actions option.

Selecting View Actions opens the full risk record, where users can:

  • review detailed risk information
  • view linked AI systems and datasets
  • track mitigation progress
  • collaborate through comments
  • manage updates to the risk record

This provides full visibility into risk lifecycle and governance activity.

Notes

  • risks created through assessments or Quick Add functionality also appear in the Risk Register
  • the dashboard displays risks across the organization, while individual AI system pages show only their linked risks
  • the Risk Register centralizes oversight and supports coordination across governance workflows
