Overview
Create Risk Assessment Template allows users to build custom templates that can be used when running risk assessments for AI systems or datasets.
Templates define the structure and questions used to evaluate risks across different governance and compliance areas.
Custom templates support organizational requirements and enable standardized assessment processes within Clarity AI.
Purpose
This feature enables organizations to design assessment templates aligned with internal governance frameworks, regulatory obligations, or operational risk management needs.
Templates ensure risk evaluations are repeatable and consistent across AI systems and datasets.
Custom templates can complement system-provided templates where additional assessment criteria are required.
Create Template
Step 1: Template Details
Provide basic information for the template:
- Template Name – identify the purpose of the assessment template
- Description – describe the scope or intended use
- Applicable Entity Type – select whether the template applies to:
- AI systems
- datasets
- both
These settings determine where the template can be used.
Step 2: Add Sections
Create sections to organize assessment content.
Sections group related questions together and define the structure of the assessment.
Each section represents a topic area relevant to the risk evaluation.
Step 3: Add Questions
Add questions within each section to capture assessment responses.
Questions define how risks will be evaluated.
Users can configure question content based on governance requirements or internal frameworks.
Questions may address areas such as:
- data sensitivity
- model transparency
- operational impact
- regulatory compliance
- risk controls
Step 4: Save Template
After adding sections and questions, save the template.
The template becomes available when running new risk assessments.
Custom templates can be edited later if updates are required.
Notes
- custom templates support organization-specific risk evaluation requirements
- templates created here appear as options when running new assessments
- templates can be updated as governance frameworks evolve
- structuring templates carefully supports consistent risk evaluation across AI systems and datasets
