Overview 

The Add New AI Solution function allows users to register a new AI system within Clarity AI. 

Registering an AI solution ensures the system is captured within governance workflows and can be tracked across its lifecycle, including risk assessments, dataset linkage, approvals, and documentation. 

Adding AI solutions early helps organizations maintain visibility over AI usage and supports structured governance processes. 

Purpose 

The Add New AI Solution process ensures that AI systems are formally recorded within the AI Inventory. 

Capturing system information supports consistent oversight and enables governance teams to evaluate risk, monitor usage, and maintainaccountability. 

Registering AI solutions helps ensure that governance requirements are applied before deployment or operational use.

Once an AI system is added, it can be progressed through governance workflows including: 

  • linking datasets 

  • running risk assessments

This supports clear accountability for governance activities and system oversight.

After creation, the AI solution becomes available within the: 

  • AI Systems Dashboard 

  • AI System – Details Dashboard 

Additional governance activities can be completed from the system details page. 

How to use 

start a new AI solution record 

Navigate to AI Inventory and select Add New AI Solution. 

enter system information 

Provide the required details describing the AI system. 

Information typically includes: 

  • system name 

  • description of functionality 

  • intended purpose or business use 

  • ownership or responsible team 

  • relevant stakeholders 

Ensure information accurately reflects the system being registered. 

create the AI solution 

Submit the information to create the AI system record. 

Once created, the system will appear in the AI Systems Dashboard. 

continue governance activities 

After creation, additional information can be added through the AI System Details Dashboard. 

Governance steps such as risk assessments and dataset linkage can be completed as needed.
